BBC Reith typeface
Arriving at a new typeface for the BBC to be rolled out across it’s myriad channels and platforms was a complex and creative type design task. Employing type legends Dalton Maag, working along side a team of top BBC creatives with input from key stakeholders, the result is a thought-out extensive array of styles and weights that gives consistency and flexibility to meet the different moods and intents of the BBC offering. In this Creative Review piece, Dalton Maag creative director Lukas Paltram explains how they arrived at the new design, named appropriately, BBC Reith.
